Dan Brunskole has seen throughout his aviation career the need and barriers to helping underutilized communities of youth to enter into the aviation career field. It is his vision, drive and operational knowledge that has jumpstarted the Aviation Scholar Foundation Non-Profit company. To date, the Aviation Scholar Foundation has trained/mentored candidates to achieve G-550//G-200 SIC type ratings, start A&P mechanic training, attend and apply for F/A jobs, appointments to armed forces ROTC programs, and provide letters of recommendation that open the doors to an aviation career. Who wants to be next in line!
The Aviation Scholar Foundation (ASF) is now embarking on raising $1M dollars to open the floodgates for underutilized communities of youth to begin their career in Aviation. We will be holding a Super event to raise funds throughout 2024-2025. The aviation Scholar Foundation will be opening an Aviation Thrift Store along with establishing a Corporate Aviation Museum in Atlanta. Please talk with me and contribute!
Dan graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1983 and completed pilot training a year later. He finished his Masters degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle in 1992.
During Dan's 21+ career in the United States Air Force he flew Air Force One, Air Force 2 and our nations leaders for 13 years. He participated in special operations, worldwide transport and refueling operations and was the only Tanker Task Force KC-10 instructor pilot assigned to Zaragoza AB during Desert SHIELD and Desert STORM with a 100% reliability rate. He led the standards and evaluations division for the 89th Airlift Wing for several years which eventually led to his appointment as the Commander of the 89 OSS squadron at Andrews AFB. Since his USAF retirement in 2004, he has led the flight operations for the Coca-Cola company, managed a Part 125 operation out of West Palm Beach and currently manages and pilots a G-550 operation out of Atlanta. It is time to give back and mentor those underserved communities that have a great pool of talent to enter the aviation career field.
